Dru at the Baseball clinic at Wrigley Field
into a baseball clinic at Wrigley Field (note the ivy in the
background!) He had such a great time - so did his parents, watching
him! Babygirl was fond of "walking" daddy - from one side of the
stadium to the other. Ernie got a ball to the head - so we kept it -
red clay from the field and all. "Official MLB training ball!"
We then drove downtown and met cousin Kathy and ambled around
Milennium Park (pictures to follow) and ended our evening at Pizzeria
Due (yes, the one after Uno!) It's not the same as the franchise
concept. It takes an hour for your pizza to be cooked -so they take
your order when your name on a list to wait!
What magic. What a week! Catherine and William, John Paul II
Beatified, Dru at Wrigley, Osama dead.

End of April 2011 & Dru's Baseball pix :)
(acer japonica ;) ), tulip tree, dogwood (I think it's pink),
hydrangeas, delphinium, hosta, daylilies, a crabapple, several
bradford pears, and of course now herbs.
Dru's so excited about baseball. He's going to be at Wrigley Field
tomorrow for a baseball clinic, what a great opportunity for him! We
are so excited about it and can't wait.
Ernie wants to be a part of everything Dru does - so I grabbed a shot
of Ernie with Dru at bball picture day.
Evelyn - those shots probably need no explanation. A friend french
braided li'l miss' hair and we put a big poofy bow on it!
Enjoy the last day of April everyone! I hoping that the thermometer
starts reading well above 60 - SOON!!

"compliment circle" Dru's last day
Dru's class! As we were looking at these I felt a big ol' tear coming
down from Dru's eyes. Lots in mine, too. We just watched the video
of Dru's teachers Ms. Shawna and Ms. Naga saying goodbye, together
with all the kids in his class.
We miss you, Poe!

Ernie, the new neighborhood, and the zucchini
19 March 2011
*Lollipops* *hyacinth* *canes game*
There are sometimes lollipops at the desk when you check out. My kids
think there are lollipops in the exam room too. They were fighting
over them, as a matter of fact.
Then there are the lovely pink blooms I'll miss so much. I met the
new owner tonight - amidst total chaos of cooking dinner, arranging to
see my mom in AZ, and haivng a friend/neighbor stop by, and calling my
dad to finalize the plan - I let her know that the bulb needs to be
split, into about 7 bulbs!
She has a dog and a cat - and will likely put up a fence right away.
I hope that she appreciates that we've been good stewards to her home
and land. I get the sense that she does.
The next picture is of our last Canes game. Sniffle. I'm glad we
went, the kids so love their Carolina Hurricanes.

Erin go Bragh(less)
16 March 2011
Ernie, my precious flower.
The funnier part of this is that while Evelyn offed with some poor
kid's shoes (his mom was panicked and figured them stolen until she
spied them on her) ... some little girl walked out of the play area
with Ernie's headband on!!
My peach tree, from a peach pit, is finally blooming
sprouted from a peach pit tossed in the compost pile a few years back
- had finally blossomed. How glorious! I wish we could dig up the
tree and bring it with us, but, sadly, it just isn't going to happen.
Fire ants, the whole movers not moving living plants - and then of
course, the rest of us going in the minivan - take your pick of
reasons. I will forever remember growing a peach tree from a pit. And
getting it bloom. Beautiful, aren't they? Sniffle.
