May your home be filled with laughter, your bellies full of delicious
food, your children's voices filled with Joy. Safe travels.

Merry Christmas!

Our youtube channel, if you ever want to go check out what's new with the kids (I don't put all the vids on the blog) is www.youtube.com/user/mysanchezfamily
this is the menu that goes with the pictures below ...
in the event that you can't see the tiny menu on the maki roll (note the first course: Maki - menu) All of the printed items - the cookie, the nose to tail pig, and the maki menu - are all edible. The paper on the "cigar" course was edible paper, too.
I was inspired when I made last night's dinner, which included purple potatoes (I did them 2 ways, chips and creamed- with black sesame powder and sea salt on the chips), rainbow chard, and branzino (fish).
Let the penny saving begin to go again, in, say, 45 years. ;)

Moto: cook now, eat later.
Whenever anyone asks me now about my most amazing dinner experience --
hands down -- it will be Moto. check out the restaurant here:
www.motorestaurant.com Located in Fulton Market, it's a food lab.
It's Willy Wonka. It's just mind bendingly amazing. What you think
you are looking at may or may not bear any resemblance to what you are
about to eat.
